英検二級の作文を添削してみましょう。
【お題】小学生の携帯電話の学校への持ち込みについて。
みなさんも、文を読みながら、まず「ここが違うと思う｣という所を探してみてください。添削するという行為は、深く英語を考察するという事につながりますので、とても良い勉強になります。
前回のものとお題は同じですが、意見が違うパターンです。
お題
８０－１００語で述べよ。
Today, many elementary school students have their own celll phones. Do you think they should be allowed to take their cell phones to school?
（沢山の小学生が携帯電話を持っていますが、それを学校に持っていく事を許されるべきだと思いますか？）
解答例（添削前のもの）
No, students don't have to take cell phones to school. I have two reasons.
Of course you may think if we have cell phones, we can play games. However, while we are young, we have to exercise.
First, we have to concentrate studying at school. We take own cell phone, we can't consentrate studying. Studying is important when we take an exam.
Second, we have to make personal relations. we use own cell phones, we income own world.
For these reasons, I think that students don't have to take cell phones to school.
今回は「譲歩｣→「打ち消し｣の文が入っていますね。この譲歩の内容に注意です！譲歩の内容として適切かどうか考えてみましょう。

【構成】
①意見 携帯は学校に持っていくべきでない
②譲歩 携帯を持っていればゲームが出来る、という人もいるかも知れない
③打ち消し しかし若い間は運動をしなくてはならない
④理由１ 学校で勉強に集中できない
サポート 勉強はテストをうける時に大切だ
⑤理由２ 人間関係を作るべきだ。
サポート 携帯を使うと自分の世界にこもってしまう
今回の譲歩の内容として「ゲームが出来る｣を使えるのかどうか？考えてみましょう。
相手の意見に譲歩する、という事は、「相手がこう言うだろうな｣という事に対して譲歩するという事です。携帯電話を学校に持ち込むことのメリットとして、相手が言うであろうという意見に譲歩するのです。
例）学校の行き帰りに安心だから。緊急の時に使えるから。
などです。
携帯電話を学校に持ち込むことのメリットとして「ゲームができるから｣を挙げる人はほぼいません！（小学生なら言うかもしれないけど！大人は子供に学校でゲームしてほしいとは思わない！）
ですので今回の内容は譲歩の内容としてはNGです。

Of course you may think if we have cell phones, we can play games. However, while we are young, we have to exercise.
（携帯を持っていればゲームが出来る、という人もいるかも知れない。しかし若い間は運動をしなくてはならない）
譲歩の候補として挙がるのは、こういったものです。
譲歩の候補
Of course you may think it is useful for parents to reach their children in an emergency. However, if someone uses their phone during class, it would be terribly disturbing. They can not concentrate on studying.
（緊急の時に親が子供にすぐアクセスできるので有益だという人もいるかもしれない。けれど、もし誰かが授業中に携帯を使ったら、授業の妨げになる。勉強に集中できない。）
理由とサポート部分は、構成的には問題ありません。
文法のチェックにいきましょう。
【文法】
First, we they have to concentrate on studying at school.
●小学生の事を述べているので主語を we とすると、自分も小学生という事になってしまいます。ここは they を使う方が良いでしょう。（もちろん、あなたが小学生ならweで良いです！）
●concentrate on～ →～に集中する （on を忘れずに！）
If we they take their own cell phones to school, we they can't consentrate on studying.
●接続詞の if を使って二つの文を繋げて、「もし～なら、ーだ。｣としましょう。
we take ~ → If we take～
● この「自身の｣の意味の own は、所有格代名詞と一緒に使います。
●主語が「彼ら｣と複数なので、携帯電話も複数あるとみなされます。
● 「学校へ｣の表現を入れたほうが良いでしょう。
take own cell phone → take their own cell phones to school
Studying is important when we take an exam. They can not get a good score without studying.
●「テストを受ける時に、勉強は重要だ。｣ではなくて「勉強は重要だ。勉強なしでは良い点数は取れないからだ。｣とした方が意味が通ります。
Second, we have to make ( build / form ) personal relations.
● make を使ってもバツにはならないかもしれませんが、「関係を築く｣でよく使われる動詞は build や form です。
If we they keep use using their cell phones, we income own world they can not communicate with others.
●use より keep using にする方が「ずっと使い続ける｣というニュアンスになります。
●income own world では言いたい事は伝わりません。「自分の世界に閉じこもる｣は 「他の人とコミュニケーションが取れない｣とすると良いでしょう。

I think elementary school students should not be allowed to take their cell phones to school.
Of course you may think it is useful for parents to reach their children in an emergency. However, if someone uses their phone during class, it would be terribly disturbing. They can not concentrate on studying. They have to concentrate on studying at school. Studying is important. They can not get a good score without studying.
Also, they have to build personal relations at school. If they keep using their cell phones, they can not communicate with others. （９4語）
譲歩と打ち消し、を使うと字数がグッと増えるのですが、譲歩する内容には気をつけましょう。普段から、「大勢の人がこう思うだろうな｣という意見を、反対、賛成両面から考える癖をつけておくと、譲歩の内容にピン！とくるようになります。
